Phoenix Data Systems was included in a healthcare technology management (HTM) industry discussion about standardizing computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) data. Because healthcare organizations collect and label data in their own unique ways, it makes it impossible for HTM professionals to assess their industry as a whole. The Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) brought six of the leading CMMS providers together to try to tackle this challenge.

The group  initially outlined an agreed-upon method for optimizing and standardizing medical device failure codes. The second phase of the group’s work focused on CMMS work order types, which produced a white paper, Optimizing the CMMS Work Order Type Field. This white paper was sponsored by AAMI and represents the insights of CMMS experts including, Ben Mannisto, Phoenix Data’s President.
