Data Conversion

Phoenix Data provides a seamless transition to the AIMS System.  We have performed hundreds of conversions from many different commercial and custom systems.

We have developed a systematic approach, including a thorough review of the legacy data with field-by-field data mapping, sample conversion routines, testing and verification.

The conversion is divided into sections where Phoenix Data and the Customer share in the responsibilities of a successful conversion.

A complete mapping of existing data to AIMS data fields is performed by a Phoenix Data system engineer and reviewed by the product management team.

Mapping is reviewed and approved by the Customer, typically one to two individuals that understand the current system and data structures.

Conversion program is developed and Phoenix Data’s assigned system engineer tests the results.

Data is verified and tested by the Customer.  (Phoenix Data recommends at least 30 days for verification and testing.  It is recommended that training classes be completed during this phase.)

The customer reports corrections and the data conversion is updated by Phoenix Data to address any issues.

Final approval and the live conversion are scheduled when the Customer implementation team has completed testing and verification of the converted data.

A software engineer and technical support specialist are assigned to all data conversions.  They oversee and perform the listed processes while working with the Customer for clarification and planning.
